Getting Stronger! Pt. 2

Another great way to build strength early is Survival Mode — a wave-based combat trial. Set your dungeon difficulty to Mythic BEFORE you teleport there — Opeth will not appear if you switch to Mythic after arriving, it has to be set first. Once that is done, use your Magic Stone and pick “Survival Mode”, then find Opeth, the Survival Master, and choose “Start Survival Mode”.

Clear a wave, then choose to bank your reward and leave, or push on to the next wave for a bigger payout — if you die before banking, you lose everything from that run. For now, farm the early waves — they are the easiest, and every clear still pays Death Coins (see “Survival Mode” under Core Systems for the full reward curve).

Once you have 250 Death Coins, find Necrid, the Survival Mode Vendor standing right next to Opeth, and buy the Demonic Tabard.

It is absurdly strong for how little it costs — +6,000 Strength, Agility, and Intellect all at once, at only ilvl 400.

It can also be upgraded later (50,000 Death Coins for its one upgrade) once you are farming higher waves.

As you get stronger, come back and push further — higher waves pay out far more Death Coins (and eventually Death Essence too), buy better gear from Necrid, and permanently unlock free checkpoints so future runs can start well past Wave 1.
