Your First Legendary Weapon

Alongside Muncher’s quests, find the Forge Master (subname “Legendary Gear”) and accept “Forge Your Legendary”. He points you toward the Runecarver’s Portal, where your legendary items will eventually be made.

The quest leads you straight to the Runecarver’s Portal. You do not craft anything on this trip — just reaching it completes this leg of the quest.

Head back to the Forge Master to turn in “Forge Your Legendary”. He rewards you with your first Legendary Dust — enough for one weapon. His daily quest “Gathering Power” (trading 2,000 Reservoir Anima for more Dust) is only needed later, if you want to craft a second legendary.

Step 1 — buy your components from the Golden Mask (subname “Legendary Artifacts”):

• Missive of Haste and Missive of Critical Strike (5 copper each).
• One Shadowghast weapon matching your class and weapon type (1 Legendary Dust each) — use the class dropdown to find the right one.

Step 2 — return to the Runecarver and choose “I’d like to craft a legendary item.”

Step 3 — click the center slot and select your Shadowghast weapon.

Step 4 — click the green + and pick a legendary power. Wrath of Tarecgosa is a solid first pick.

Step 5 — select both Missives to fill the empowerment slots, then click Create.

That is it — your first legendary is done! You can still improve it further with the Item Upgrader.
